As we head south - South Carolina Visited this beautiful city located in South Carolina the previous weekend in which we chance upon online, as well as Asad (Yeow hua's roommate) who recommended the place to us. Despite the unfortunate mishap where our car tyre punctured when we entered Charleston and ended up wasting hours getting the tyre replaced and eventually change our car at the rental place (took ~4 hours I think), the city did not disappoint us and all of us had so much fun! It was mentally draining nonetheless... Despite the uneventful day we faced, at least the beautiful sunset at the Battery Park definitely did lighten our mood in the end :) It is the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen thus far; and it's really amazing how beautiful this world can get! Dinner was settled in the simplest way, where we takeaway piping hot fried platters of shrimps, fish & fries and enjoyed it at Patriot Point, USS Yorktown. Life could really be easily contented in such simple ways :) We were greeted with the beautiful sunrise over at Folly Beach the next morning - it is really beautiful seeing the sun-rays peering through the puffy white clouds! Visited the famous City Market of Charleston thereafter, where I managed to get some really nice local specialities food products there. I can't wait to get back home and share these nice food with my family and friends!! :) The boat ride to Fort Sumter National Monument was really a cool and breezy ride, so comfortable that literally Moritza and I fell asleep; even though it was just a short 15 mins ride. Hahahaha On another note, I can't believe that my exchange program would have officially ended in less than a month's time (25 days to be exact), and the days ahead would become even more packed and busy from now on. In fact, I've just finished 3 midterm papers yesterday and this morning. I'm so glad that from all the hard work for the past 1 week in preparation for this midterm 3, thanksgiving break is finally here!!! I would be on my way to Orlando in 6 hours time - can't wait to have fun in Universal Studios, and of course Black Friday Shopping! Nonetheless, to all my friends back in Singapore, study hard and all the best for finals!!! till then :) |
