Last day in SG This would probably be my last post before I leave for the States in around 29 hours time. Can't believed I will be leaving on a jet plane so so soon. Had been feeling pretty sad for the whole week, especially when the thought of being so far away from home came to my mind just made me tear. I never knew leaving would be this difficult, and now I finally knew how my friends in the past felt when they left for their overseas studies/exchange/summer. I know I shouldn't be all that pessimistic; for this opportunity did not come easy. For one, I never dreamt that I would be able to attend school in an overseas university. On top of that, it's been an almost a year of administrative work before everything materializes - i.e. the official application procedures, module mappings, settling my housings, VISA application, etc.... If I knew that those paper works were going to be this tedious and cumbersome, I might be too lazy to even apply already. I still remembered how badly I wanted it during the initial applications; and how excited I was when I received the offer from both NUS and UNC-CH. Nonetheless, I wish to specially thank those who have helped me in my application process, you guys know who you are :) Not forgetting the nice NUS staffs who helped in my recommendation letters! Most importantly, thank you Mummy and Daddy for supporting me (financially and psychologically) and respecting my decision to go on an exchange even though you both are very very worried of me being on my own in a foreign country, especially when I'm the youngest in the family and you both always dote on me the most <3 I'm also very thankful for those who actually take the time off to meet me these 2 weeks! The time spent with you guys was short, but it was awesome :) I'm glad that I've got to catch up with those I intended to, and will be meeting with the last 2 groups of friends tomorrow! Nevertheless, I'm glad that I've done what I need to before I leave; at least the important ones :) Alright, I'm all ready to leave for the trip of my life now. I will be back here again once I'm all settled in campus, and would most probably be blogging frequently (hopefully), so stay tune :) Take care all my friends, study hard, and I will see everyone back in SG hopefully in end December! Till then :) |
